Cooling System

Why attend this learning programme?

This course covers the basic operation of the different cooling systems, their operating components, and how to carry out the different cooling system tests. Course delegates will gain an in-depth knowledge of the cooling system for troubleshooting and maintenance purposes.

Who should attend?

This course is targeted for all earthmoving equipment mechanics, who want to increase their knowledge of machine cooling systems.

What are the course pre-requisites?

Course delegates must have a working knowledge of earthmoving equipment machines, and must be able to communicate at an NQF level 2: literacy and numeracy.

What are learning outcomes?

  • Explain safe working procedures when servicing or working on the cooling systems
  • Explain the basic principles of heat transfer
  • Identify and explain the different types of cooling systems
  • Identify and explain the functions of cooling system components
  • Explain the different testing procedures of the cooling system
  • Troubleshoot and repair cooling system faults
