Hydraulic Fundamental

Why attend this learning programme?

This course covers the basic operation of the hydraulic system and its operating components. Course delegates will gain an in-depth knowledge of the hydraulic systems for troubleshooting purposes

Who should attend?

This course is targeted for all earthmoving equipment mechanics, who want to increase their knowledge of machine hydraulic systems for troubleshooting and maintenance purposes.

What are the course pre-requisites?

Course delegates must have a working knowledge of earthmoving equipment machines, and must be able to communicate at an NQF level 2: literacy and numeracy

What are learning outcomes?

Define the term hydraulics
Explain the operation of the hydraulic system and component function
Understand the ISO symbols
Explain the operation of hydraulic pumps
Explain the operation of hydraulic cylinders
Explain the operation of basic hydraulic valves
Understand how to conduct hydraulic system maintenance using a maintenance interval sheet
